EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
The equipment and materials that photographic artists use today vary greatly. I use a wide variety of equipment to capture images from the environment. These include many different film and ditigal cameras, scanners, etc. For me, the equipment matters not - it's the visual result I'm after.

Like image capturing equipment, the materials used to display images is virtually limitless. For my printed work, I only use pigmented inks, since these inks offer the best longevity the industry has to offer. I select papers to print on based on longevity, luminosity and texture. Thus, I use only the finest archival papers available today, varying luminously and texture to suit the individual images I am creating.

The use of archival materials doesn't stop with the inks and paper I select, it extends into the matting and framing process. I use only 100% acid-free matte board, acid-free foam core for backing boards, and acid-free linen tape for hinging prints. The products are assembled in a way that allows for prints to be easily un-attached and re-matted if desired.

As mentioned elsewhere, all images are signed, regardless of their size. However, only images 11x14 or larger are limited in production and thus are numbered. At this point, I am limiting the production of all numbered prints to no more than 25 (some are limited to smaller numbers). As an image is purchased, the price of the remaining number will increase relative to its supply. For collectors this means that, depending on the desirability of the print, the market value of the print will never fall and most likely will increase over time.
